2014/Lincoln at 7 months

This past month Lincoln has really taken off. He is now fully sitting up on his own, solider crawls pretty decently across the floor and can almost get into a seated position (from his belly) all by himself.
He's pretty well loved by all- and cuddled rotten! We've been working on the transition to naps in his crib. After 3 days of tears he finally laid down  for his morning nap without crying! Success! But it is a process because its not consistent yet. He's perfectly content sleeping with Momma for the rest of his life.
We enjoyed a sweet Christmas this past month, and Lincoln celebrated his first new year. 2014 is going to be full of new abilities and watching him crawl faster, pull up, walk, talk... And his 1st birthday. I cant believe its been 7 months since I gave birth to my precious boy. He makes me smile every day.
Right now we are living with my parents temporarily while we look for a new house. It's really special to have grandparents around in the evenings to hug on the kids.
Martin started his new school and its been a good first week. He is adjusting to being the new kid and I feel bad for him. 2 out of the 5 days he came home from school crying. But the other 3 were all smiles! So yay! It helps that he is excited about basketball. He plays his first season through the end of February. Yay for KINDERBALL!!
Little Miss Emi has had it rough. Lots of whining and adjusting. I was hoping to get her into a preschool for the new year but the price was outrageous. So she will continue in her Ballet and we will try to socialize more with church friends.
With every new season comes new struggles and adjustments. We are having to buckle down on consistent discipline, chores, and daily reading/bedtime routines.
I thank God every day for my 3 blessing and my special husband that works so hard for us day in and day out.
